Signed from Regal Bukarest’s U19s back in 2018, Radu Dragusin has very precociously made his way through the ranks at Juventus, signing a one year professional deal with the club back in September.
Expiring in the summer, the Romanian starlet’s contract meant he could speak freely to other clubs from the start of the month onwards, with Tottenham and Newcastle United trying to make the most of the situation.
That’s according to SportItalia journalist Gianluigi Longari, who took to social media to explain Juventus, for fear of losing the centre-back, are ‘working to renew’ Dragusin’s contract, and there’s ‘optimism’.
He then adds the player had ‘received interest from Newcastle, Tottenham and Leipzig’ recently, suggesting approaches might have been made with his agent.
@tvdellosport #transfers

That’s why the Serie A side are stepping up their game, clearly keen on keeping him out of the clutches of José Mourinho or Steve Bruce.
We’ll have to wait and see what comes of it, but it seems Spurs and Newcastle scared the league champions into action here.
