Celtic have set their sights on Gustav Isaksen, and Brendan Rodgers’ side could make an approach to snatch him away from Lazio.

The winger has come off the bench in both Serie A games this season and scored in the 2-1 loss to Udinese on Saturday. Despite the defeat, he had a good impact when he came on in the 60th minute.

Corriere dello Sport, relayed by La Lazio Siamo Noi, report that this won’t have an impact on his future at the Serie A side. When discussing interested parties, only Celtic are mentioned.

It’s claimed the Scottish champions ‘swoop in’ and their ‘offer is being prepared’ to sign the 23-year-old.

The report says ‘reflections are underway’ at Lazio as Celtic are proposing a loan deal with an obligation to buy. There’s no mention of the figures and the report claims Brendan Rodgers’ side have to find an agreement with Lazio.

The Biancocelesti signed the Denmark international from FC Midtjylland in August 2023 and gave him a deal until 2028. It’s not clear whether he wants to leave Lazio for Celtic in the last week of the summer window.
