Celtic star Luis Palma has insisted he is confident they can do well in the Champions League after the draw for the league round was completed last week.
Once Noticias cover comments from the forward today as he links up with his national team for the international break.
Celtic were learned their Champions League fate last week, with the competition taking on a new format this year.
Rather than the traditional group stages, teams will now compete in a league format over six games to try and qualify for the knockout phase.
The Scottish champions are therefore set to take on Slovan Bratislava, Borussia Dortmund, Atalanta, RB Leipzig, Club Brugge and Dinamo Zagreb in the coming months.
There are some difficult fixtures in there given Dortmund were Champions League finalists last year and Atalanta won the Europa League as well.
Palma isn’t too concerned, though, with the Celtic man full of confidence and positivity for both his club side and his international side ahead of the coming months.
“It is an honour to be back and represent my country. Now, our focus is on the Nations League and the World Cup qualifiers,” Once Noticias report him saying when asked about upcoming games against Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica.
“We are working hard, and we must be strong at home. We know that we cannot say that we will be champions immediately, but we must move forward step by step and demonstrate our potential.
“I think we have an accessible group. With Celtic, we have the team to face any rival,” he added when questioned on the Champions League.
