According to claims in the Turkish media, Celtic will have to offer €4m to sign Besiktas defender Dusko Tosic.
The Serbia international has been linked with Celtic throughout this transfer window, as Brendan Rodgers looks to bolster his defensive options.
Fanatik have covered reports Celtic have offered €3.5m offer for Tosic, but the Scottish Premiership club need to increase this by €500k.
Celtic initially tabled a bid of €3m earlier in the window, with the Turkish champions holding out for €4m.
However, the arrival of Croatian defender Domagoj Vida put doubts over Tosic’s future with Besiktas, and the Serbian is also said to be unhappy with the salary he’s earning with the Turkish side.
Due to Tosic’s demands it’s been claimed by Haberler that Besiktas will sell the player for the right price.
In recent weeks it’s been reported Celtic have been leading the way for Tosic, as Rodgers looks to improve his squad for the second half of the season and beyond.
Stoke City, Everton and Leicester City have also been linked with Tosic in this window.
