AC Milan are set to sign Léo Duarte from Flamengo, and according to TuttoMercatoWeb, the Brazilian won’t be the last defensive signing this summer.
Liverpool’s Dejan Lovren and Celtic’s Kristoffer Ajer are two targets for the San Siro club.
Lovren’s agent had a meeting with Milan officials on Thursday and the fee needed to sign the Croatian, plus his high salary of €4m per season, make it an expensive deal.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are demanding €20m to sanction Lovren’s sale, but there is a belief a deal can be closed for €15m.
The Celtic centre-back has also emerged as a transfer ‘idea’ for Milan and contact has been made over signing the 21 year old.
Milan are looking for young players, who have the potential to develop and grow in value. The Norway international’s profile fits into the type of player the Serie A side are looking at.
All of that said, it’s very unlikely Celtic would consider letting him go for anything other than a very big fee, and Milan may be shocked if they get to the stage of finding out how much.
Ajer himself has always seemed very happy at Celtic, and it’s unlikely he’d agitate for a move.
