On Wednesday, Quotidiano Sportivo reported Celtic have made fresh contact for Motherwell’s Lennon Miller, amidst interest from Bologna.
The report also spoke of approaches from Union St Gilloise and Eintracht Frankfurt.
Il Resto del Carlino have an update about the situation of the teenager, reporting that Celtic are lagging behind Bologna in the race. The Italian side have put forward a €5m bid for the midfielder, offering Miller a four-year deal worth €350k per season, and bonuses can take it to €500k.
The newspaper report a deal is inching closer for the Rossoblu, with Miller’s compatriot Lewis Ferguson having recommended the talent to Vincenzo Italiano’s side.
Celtic are tracking the 18-year-old and Bologna need one last push to seal the signing.
Udinese are also interested, with Motherwell’s asking price having come down to €6m despite an initial demand of €10m. Bologna sporting director Giovanni Sartari is not giving up, and has been described as a ‘tough nut to crack’ who would like the close a move soon.
