Celitc are in the picture to sign Ferencváros’ Aïssa Laidouni, according to a report.

The midfielder has two goals and four assists from 23 matches this term. His displays for the Hungarian club and also for Tunisia at the 2022 World Cup have drawn attention from other clubs.

That’s according to Foot Mercato, who state the 25-year-old has been a ‘real revelation’ in Qatar, despite Tunisia’s elimination from the group stages.

Celtic, VfL Wolfsburg and unnamed English clubs are interested in the player, especially because his employer are ‘ready’ to part ways with him for €4m. The price quoted should not be an issue for the Scottish champions.

Along with Ange Postecoglou’s side and others, there were reports of interest from France, but this has now been dismissed by Foot Mercato.

Earlier this year, Laidouni told Foot Mercato he favours a move to England or Germany. This means Celtic may have it tough to convince the Tunisian to join them over Wolfsburg and English clubs.

It’ll be interesting to see where Laidouni will end up in the winter market, if he decides to leave Ferencváros.
