Last week, Bold reported Rangers and Celtic have shown interest in BK Häcken’s Silas Andersen. They stated Danny Röhl’s side are in the lead and had made contact to bring the player to Ibrox. Celtic were still very much in the mix.
Two days ago, Häcken sporting director Martin Ericsson said Rangers, Celtic or any other club haven’t made an offer yet.
He explained the 21-year-old could leave in the winter market, but for well over €7.25m. This is their current club-record sale, and Häcken want the midfielder to be their new record sale.
As well as Rangers and Celtic, FC Copenhagen have been in the picture to sign the Denmark U21 international.
Fotboll Direkt claim that several European clubs are chasing him. They point out that Rangers, Martin O’Neill’s side and Copenhagen have been among them, and then provide their own updates.
At this moment in time, there hasn’t been any concrete movements for his exit and the Swedish club’s director also confirmed this on Tuesday. That could change soon.
Celtic now more serious than Rangers
According to the outlet, Häcken are set to receive new bids for the Danish midfielder. They have found out that three to five clubs are in the process of tabling offers next week.
The report makes it clear this doesn’t include Rangers or Copenhagen. This would indicate Röhl’s side slipping out while Celtic are still in the picture.
Fotboll Direkt haven’t mentioned the details of the three to five clubs or the fee they are willing to offer. To underline that Celtic are one, the interest from Scotland is specifically mentioned.
There’s also interest from the English Championship.
Häcken had already set a SEK 90m [€8.4m] price and Fotboll Direkt state this is still their current level. If they were to sell Andersen for this figure, he’ll clearly be their new club-record sale.
