On Monday, we covered multiple claims from the Catalan press that Barcelona’s Álex Valle is going to Celtic. It was also stated he’ll renew his contract at the Camp Nou until 2026, before joining Brendan Rodgers’ side.
Tuesday’s edition of Marca provides more details on the deal to take the left-back to Celtic.
It’s claimed Celtic have reached a ‘total agreement’ with the La Liga side to sign the 20-year-old on loan.
The Spaniard travelled to Glasgow on Monday afternoon, to negotiate his contract with the Bhoys. His current deal at Barca lasts until 2025 and he will sign an extension, before joining Celtic.
Another Spanish newspaper, AS, states the Catalan club are working on completing out a few exits before the window closes this week.
Valle had been included in Barca’s first team list, but he’s ‘packing his bags’ to join the Scottish champions on a loan deal. It’s claimed Brendan Rodgers’ side will cover the full salary during his temporary stay at Celtic Park.
The fullback’s transfer to Scotland ‘should be made official shortly’, and he should be able to enjoy more game time at Celtic this season.
