Celtic are following Häcken youngster Pontus Dahbo, according to reports from the Swedish media.
Fotboll Direkt writes that Brendan Rodgers’ side have scouts watching the 18-year-old, and there could be an ‘upcoming big deal’ on the way.
The Swedish outlet reports Celtic have become interested in Dahbo after their observations.
The report, however, claims it’s ‘unclear’ whether Brendan Rodgers’ side will actually move for the player this summer or if they’ll leave a potential attempt for later.
It’s mentioned that Dahbo hasn’t even been getting much playing time at Häcken, but still, his potential has been drawing some attention.
The club seem to be getting prepared for a potential sale, as it’s said that they’ll demand around €4m for the departure.
Now it remains to be seen if Celtic will be convinced to get him now or wait until he’s proven himself more in Sweden. So far, he has 45 appearances for his club, with six goals and two assists, but most of those appearances are being brought on from the bench.
