Brentford are among the clubs potentially eyeing a move for Venezia midfielder Tanner Tessmann but could face competition from Celtic.
That’s according to Sky Sport Italy, relayed by FC Inter News, who throw Celtic and Brentford into the mix as his future at Venezia continues to be questioned.
Tessmann has found himself, surprisingly, linked with a number of clubs this summer. The links have all been predicated on the idea he could be joining Inter Milan, who would then be loaning him out, potentially to the Premier League.
That idea has now been put to one side, with several reports making it clear Tessman wasn’t keen on the move to Inter, or at least the idea of being loaned out by them.
Sky Sport confirm as much, insisting that the two sides are not likely to meet this summer as Inter couldn’t reach an agreement with the player or his agents.
That’s not the end of transfer talks, though, as the midfielder could now end up at various sides in Italy. There is also English interest from Brentford while Celtic have him on their list as well.
That’s the first time that both clubs have been brought into the mix for Tessmann, who appears to have emerged from nowhere to suddenly be wanted by everyone.
A move to Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic seems more likely than Brentford, at least as far as we’re concerned, but they’re two names to keep an eye on now as his future remains in question.
