Celtic are in the market looking for a new goalkeeper and have identified Daniel Peretz as a target. Brendan Rodgers’ side have joined Nottingham Forest and several other clubs in the race to sign the Bayern Munich player.

That’s according to Bild, who state the Bundesliga club will allow the 23-year-old to go out on loan in the summer window.

This has seen various clubs show interest in the stopper and that includes both Celtic and Nottingham Forest.

Rodgers’ side and the Reds, along with FC Copenhagen, Anderlecht, Real Betis and Villarreal have already asked about the Israel international. Union Berlin are also named as an interested party.

Last summer, the Bavarian club signed Peretz from Maccabi Tel Aviv and he was restricted to just two appearances this season. Despite the limited playing time, Bayern are pleased with his development.

The German giants want to send the stopper out on loan next season so that he can enjoy more minutes. This would be favourable for Celtic, Nottingham Forest and others, and these clubs could be set for a battle to sign Peretz in the next window.

Bild make no mention of whether Peretz, or his club, would prefer Celtic or Nottingham Forest.
