Okay Yokuslu’s move to West Brom dragged on during the final weeks of the winter market, with disagreement over a buying clause at the end of a loan spell.

Celta Vigo had wanted the Baggies to be committed to making the move permanent regardless of what happened between January and the end of the season. On the other hand, West Brom were only prepared to agree to a mandatory buying clause if it was dependent on them achieving Premier League survival, or at least had a much lower amount attached if relegation happened.

The Spanish side were willing to be flexible, however, Yokuslu himself scuppered the clause idea insisting he would only agree to a straight loan. The midfielder was confident he’d be able to perform for West Brom and therefore attract more clubs for the summer window.

He’s put in reasonable displays on his first two appearances in the Premier League, and AS report Celta Vigo believe a permanent transfer will happen at the end of the season, with the insinuation that won’t be to West Brom.

There’s not a lot of Spanish faith in the club avoiding the drop, and therefore it’s believed that he’ll be off elsewhere having taken advantage of the shop window opportunity.
