Liverpool are showing ‘great interest’ in VfB Stuttgart’s Angelo Stiller for the summer window.
That’s according to Stuttgarter Nachrichten, and the newspaper local to the German club state Liverpool are serious about signing the 24-year-old.
Liverpool recently clinched the title and seem to have already started working behind the scenes to further improve their squad.
The Reds’ focus is said to be on the defensive midfielder.
Despite operating in a defensive position, the Germany international has contributed 13 goals [four goals and nine assists] from 45 games this season. Back in January, the Bundesliga club rewarded him with a new contract until 2028.
The report indicates Arne Slot’s side could make an offer of €60m for Stiller. If they were to table this bid, Stuttgart, led by CEO Alexander Wehrle and sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth, would find it difficult to ignore.
Liverpool, as per Stuttgarter Nachrichten, want to snatch the player from Stuttgart in the upcoming window. The possibility of them sending a €60m proposal for Stiller is a ’cause for concern’ for his club.
