Wolverhampton Wanderers are in the process of bringing Al Shabab FC manager Vítor Pereira to Molineux.
Earlier today, we covered claims from Portugal which stated Wolves are trying to lower the cost from €1m to €700-800k for Pereira. It was also said the manager is keen on taking over the vacant job at the Premier League side.
Pereira being on his way to Wolves would create vacancy at Al Shabab.
The Saudi Arabia club have started searching for his replacement and included SC Braga manager Carlos Carvalhal in their list. Monday’s edition of Correio da Manhã shares more on this.
The 59-year-old Portuguese coach has revealed the Middle East club have approached him to become the Wolves bound manager’s successor.
“I was approached and immediately didn’t want to hear the proposal, because my body and soul is with Braga. My commitment to the president is to stay until the end of the contract,” he said.
Wolves suffered a 2-1 defeat to Ipswich Town on Saturday and then showed the exit door to Gary O’Neil.
The Molineux side have picked up nine points from 16 Premier League games and their poor results have seen them 19th in the table, three points behind 18th placed Ipswich Town and five behind 17th placed Leicester City.
