Carlo Ancelotti is expected to be presented as the new Everton manager on Monday as his move to Merseyside nears closer.
The Italian has emerged as the leading candidate for the Everton job this week after holding talks about the position on Monday.
Earlier today we covered reports from Italy that stated he was set to sign a four-and-a-half year deal at the club having received assurances from Everton’s chiefs over transfers and his position at the club.
These reports claimed that Ancelotti was heading to Italy today to deal with his termination from Napoli and would be in charge of the clash with Burnley on Boxing Day.
They say that Ancelotti should be officially presented on Monday and will take the reins from that point.
However, it is expected he will be in attendance at Goodison Park on Saturday to watch his new side take on Arsenal before officially replacing Marco Silva as Everton manager.
His first game in charge will, therefore, be that clash with Burnley on Boxing Day, as it has been claimed elsewhere.
