Cardiff City have been interested in a deal for Fenerbahce left back Lincoln Henrique, although it is unclear if they are still pursuing a possible move.
That’s according to journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, who says Cardiff have interest in the 25-year-old but provides nothing else beyond that.
Cardiff have been busy strengthening Erol Bulut’s squad this month with loan deals and free transfers, with Ryotaro Tsunoda, Nathanial Phillips and Famara Diedhiou all arriving at various points.
They’ve also shown an interest in Lincoln, according to Sabuncuoğlu, who further explains that the player can leave the Turkish side before their transfer window ends on February 9th.
According to him the left-back, who hasn’t featured for Fenerbahce in the league this season, is currently deciding where he wants to move to next.
He explains that the defender has spoken to Ankaragücü coach Emre Belözoğlu about a move, discussing how he would fit in at the club and their plans for him.
However, he’s yet to decide on a move and Fenerbahce are ‘waiting for the team’ that he picks, indicating that he has other offers on the table at this moment in time.
One of them may be Cardiff, who Sabuncuoğlu says were interested in a deal, although whether it would be a loan, permanent or even something else entirely isn’t made clear at this point.
