Cardiff City are in talks with Vålerenga for striker Andrej Ilic and have made a ‘big offer’ for the 23-year-old.
That’s according to TV 2, who say negotiations are underway between the two clubs to take him to the Championship.
They report that Cardiff City have made a big offer for the striker, which has successfully opened talks and the possibility of a transfer happening.
The clubs are yet to strike an agreement for the player, but the negotiations are concrete, and he is as close as he has ever been to leaving.
French side Toulouse had previously shown an interest in him but considered Ilic too expensive and signed an alternative.
That’s left Cardiff City in the driver’s seat for the player but there are also American and French sides in the race for the player’s signature.
The last few weeks around him had been quiet without any concrete bids being made but the situation is ‘sharpening’ as Cardiff City have made their move to try and convince Vålerenga.
They’re yet to manage that but talks are ongoing, and it seems they’re willing to pay to get their man this month.
