Burnley and Watford are ‘following’ Reims midfielder Marshall Munetsi closely as they eye up potential additions this month.
That’s according to Foot Mercato, who say the Championship duo are looking at the 26-year-old as a possible addition this month.
They explain that Reims are being ‘plundered’ of their best players season after season, with the club’s plan to develop players to be sold on a ‘recipe for success’ so far.
The Zimbabwe international is the latest name to be linked with a move away after establishing himself as a key player since arriving from Orlando Pirates on a free transfer in 2019.
English teams are ‘on the lookout’ for the player, with Bournemouth having ‘ticked his name’ while both Burnley and Watford ‘following his case very closely’.
The 26-year-old is currently under contract until 2026 and is represented by the Wasserman agency, who have extensive contacts in England.
Indeed, they have clients at both Burnley and Watford on their roster.
That could give both clubs an if they look to pursue a deal this month, although Bournemouth could provide competition.
