Burnley are seemingly making an attempt for the signing of Braga star Vitinha, according to reports.
The news comes from Italy, where Sport Italia features an exclusive story about the chase for the Portuguese star.
It’s claimed that Burnley have put ‘on the plate’ €20m to sign Vitinha, but the problem is that the same amount was already turned down by Braga.
The Clarets are said to be just one of the Premier League clubs who are interested in the player, along with Atletico Madrid, who also had a bid for him rejected.
In fact, Braga’s rejection for offers for Vitinha had already been reported by Portuguese newspaper Record this morning.
It was claimed that the club turned down two offers of around €20m for their star. The outlet didn’t reveal which clubs placed the bids, but did say one of them was from the Premier League.
According to Record, Braga would only let Vitinha go in case his release clause is triggered. That stands at €30m, so Burnley would need a big increase to get that deal done in January.
The player has 13 goals and five assists for the club this season.
