Striker Zeki Amdouni is likely to leave Burnley before the end of the summer, with his recent absence from the win over Luton Town a clear indication of it.
That’s according to Blick, who report that Amdouni appears to be on his way out and his agent is ‘whirling in the background’.
The newspaper reports that it is unlikely Amdouni will stay at Burnley this season and his absence from the matchday squad for the win over Luton was a telling sign.
While he has started pre-season late because of the European Championships it is now common knowledge that those responsible at Turf Moor are ‘no longer planning’ with him.
There have been suggestions he may be injured but Amdouni has nipped that in the bud, making it clear via WhatsApp that he is not suffering from any injury.
He refused to say anymore than that but his agent, Paul Bollendorf, is ‘whirling in the background and ‘tens of clubs’ have scouted the player and made it clear they are keen on him.
Amdouni is not expected to generate ‘hefty transfer proceeds’ after a disappointing Euros, and everything currently points towards a loan deal with a purchase option.
It all depends on Burnley and they could still block an exit if the figures aren’t right, but all indications are they want rid and Amdouni will be on his way.
