Burnley’s Anass Zaroury is on the verge of signing for RC Lens after an agreement on a €9m deal was reached.
That’s according to Sacha Tavolieri, who covers the details of the transfer today as it appears to be on its way to being concluded.
According to his information, Zaroury is set to swap Burnley for Lens after the two sides agreed on a €9m deal plus 20% of any profit in future. That €9m includes bonuses.
Zaroury will sign a four-year contract with the French side and he is already in Lens undergoing a medical ahead of the move. In fact, he has already completed the first part of his medical this afternoon.
The move to France will bring an end to a two-year stay at Burnley, who he joined in a €4m deal from RSC Charleroi in August 2022.
He spent the second half of last season on loan at Hull City but returned from that this summer and now appears to be on his way to securing a permanent exit.
With the first part of a medical already done and an agreement in place, it appears there is nothing to stop the deal being finalised sooner rather than later.
