Earlier today we brought you a report that Burnley had made a last-minute move to scupper Crystal Palace signing Victor Camarasa.
Diario de Sevilla reported that Palace had tied up a deal for the Spanish midfielder that would see him head to Selhurst Park on loan with a permanent clause included as part of the agreement.
Palace were confident that the move was ready to be completed and were waiting for Camarasa to arrive in London to finalise the deal.
Burnley have made a late move, though, in the process holding up Camarasa’s potential move to Palace and giving Betis and Camarasa another option.
And it seems it will be the midfielder who decides where he goes. It’s been made clear Betis want him to leave, and Diario have added to their earlier report and now state that Camarasa will have ‘the last word’ on the move.
That’s likely to be a tough choice given Palace and Burnley are two clubs in very similar situations, and it will be interesting to discover which side of the coin he lands on.
