Brighton & Hove Albion and Wolves are among the clubs in the mix to sign Royale Union Saint-Gilloise star Mohamed Amoura.
That’s according to La Gazette du Fennec, who explain that the striker has ‘great interest from English clubs’.
Brighton are tagged in the report and it’s claimed they would have an advantage because of Tony Bloom.
The Premier League side’s owner has a stake at the Belgian club and that could make the 23-year-old’s potential transfer to The Amex ‘much simpler and smoother’, and easier than moves elsewhere… including to Wolves and others.
Two days ago, journalist Moumen Aït Kaci [citing sources from England] stated Arsenal are chasing Amoura.
La Gazette du Fennec relay that and then add Wolverhampton Wanderers are in the picture for the player. Marseille, Lyon, AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund are also attentive to him.
Despite this, the report states Roberto De Zerbi’s side are a ‘step ahead’ of others in the chase for the Algeria international because of Bloom.
Brighton and other English clubs would be pleased to know the frontman has a dream of playing in the Premier League.
“I don’t deal with that sort of thing. I let my agent handle it. But I still have dreams. Playing in the Premier League, for example. When I was young, I often watched matches in England. Every match is a derby. We don’t find this intensity anywhere else,” Amoura told Het Laatste Nieuws.
Amoura has managed 17 goals and three assists from 25 games this season.
