Real Madrid are scouting Brighton and Hove Albion star Moisés Caicedo alongside Newcastle United’s Bruno Guimaraes as they plan for the future.
That’s according to Real Madrid fan site Defensa Central, who say the Premier League duo are on Madrid’s list of players being watched.
They explain that the Brighton midfielder is ‘a new target’ for the Spanish giants, who consider him a ‘jewel’ worth keeping an eye on.
He is now ‘being followed’ by Real Madrid scout Juni Calafat, who has already built up a collection of ‘very good reports’ on the player.
The Champions League holders are always on the lookout for opportunities on the market as well as looking towards the future, signing young players who ‘excite the fans’ and whose talent could make them future legends.
Calafat is following him and several other midfielders ahead of next summer, when a new midfielder could be targeted as a result of Casemiro’s move to Manchester United and the doubts over Toni Kroos’ and Luka Modric’s futures.
Several are being looked at, including Newcastle United star Bruno Guimaraes, who Calafat is also ‘keeping a close eye on’.
The Brazilian has established himself as one of the best in the Premier League since joining Newcastle in January and has been a key player in their run into the top four this season.
That’s not gone unnoticed by Real Madrid, who are apparently watching him and Caicedo with interest ahead of next summer.
Now, as this comes from a Real Madrid fan site we will take this information with a pinch of salt at this point, even though both players would certainly make sense as targets for the Spanish giants.
