Brighton & Hove Albion are expected to up their bid for Sampdoria defender Omar Colley after an initial €5m offer was rejected.
That’s according to ANSA, who say the Italian side are valuing the defender at around €10m this summer.
The website says Brighton are a ‘long way’ off that figure at this moment in time but want Colley ‘at all costs’ after selling Ben White to Arsenal.
At the moment, they have put a bid worth €5m on the table, but the margins for an agreement are believed to be there.
The Seagulls are expected to make a new bid for the centre back in the next few hours, although whether they will match the €10m asking price with their next bid isn’t mentioned.
Either way, it seems Graham Potter and co are keen as they look to spend some of the money brought in from White’s sale to Arsenal to bolster their squad.
Colley appears to be their first target, and Sampdoria are keen to make a profit on the €8m they spent to sign him from Genk in 2018.
