Brighton fullback Ezequiel Schelotto is reportedly on the verge of completing his move out of the club.

As reported by the Italian media this Friday, the player is expected to sign for Serie A side Chievo pretty soon.

Outlet Calcio Mercato says the 29-year-old is expected to have his medical at the club today, and should soon be ready to sign a contract.

It’s claimed that he’s joining Chievo on a loan deal which will run until the end of the season. They don’t add any information on a option of a permanent deal for the Italian side, although that’s normally the way Italian clubs sign players from the Premier League.

Schelotto hasn’t even been used by Brighton this season.

He joined the club on a €3m deal from Portuguese side Sporting in 2017, and only made 23 appearances for the Premier League side.

The player’s contract with the Seagulls is supposed to run until 2020.
