Tuesday’s edition of AS relays the Daily Mail’s report and ‘confirm’ the La Liga side’s interest in the former Chelsea academy player.
Despite his ‘small stature’, the report states Lamptey’s energy and impact on the game is ‘striking’.
It’s claimed Brighton ‘want to get ahead’ and avoid problems next summer, by offering a new improved contract to the player. 
Atlético view Lamptey as a player for the future. Diego Simeone’s side see him as one of the options in the ‘medium-long term’.
