Signed by Brighton & Hove Albion in January for €6m, Facundo Buonanotte left his beloved Rosario Central to try his luck in the Premier League.
He’s already made a handful of appearances in both the league and the FA Cup, as well as picked up one assist, but there’s no denying he misses a part of his past, namely the derbies between Argentinian sides.
Speaking to DSports Radio, relayed by Pagina 12, the Brighton starlet was asked about the upcoming game between Rosario Central and Newell’s.
He said: “A Classico against Newell’s is the most beautiful thing I had to live. It’s crazy. I would give up everything to play on Sunday.”
Instead, the 19-year-old will be preparing with Roberto De Zerbi ahead of this weekend’s fixture in the Premier League against Tottenham.
The aim will be for Brighton to pick up as many points as possible, preferably three, as they continue to try and qualify for Europe under the Italian.
As things stand, Brighton sit sixth in the table after 27 games, four points behind Spurs with two games in hand, meaning this weekend is a good chance of closing the gap with Cristian Stellini’s side.
