Brighton are reportedly keeping tabs on Brazilian youngster Gustavo Prado, according to Zero Hora, which confirmed information initially revealed by journalist Lucas Collar.

The 20-year-old attacking midfielder, who belongs to Internacional, has been attracting attention from the Premier League side after his recent performances for both club and country.

Although there has been no official approach, Brighton scouts have reportedly followed Prado’s games closely.

Their analysis includes his displays for Brazil’s U20 national team, where he was a starter during the victorious South American Championship campaign earlier this year. He also featured at the U20 World Cup, starting the opening match before dropping to the bench as Brazil were eliminated earlier than expected.

Back at Internacional, Prado is now training under new head coach Ramón Díaz and could soon make his first appearance under the Argentine manager.

The club’s board insists there are no formal offers on the table, but the youngster’s recent national-team exposure has raised expectations that bids could emerge in the next transfer window.

Local reports note that the Internacional fanbase seems divided about his future. Many supporters took to social media to say they would accept a Brighton move if a good offer arrives.

Comments collected by another source reflected this sentiment: “He hasn’t shown enough quality when given chances, so selling him could be a good way to make money,” wrote one fan. Another added: “Hopefully a solid proposal comes soon, because he has market value and could bring a decent fee.”

With Brighton’s scouts continuing to monitor his progress, the next few months could determine whether Gustavo Prado earns a move to England or consolidates his place at Internacional.
