Brighton & Hove Albion are in the picture to sign Fenerbahçe’s Ferdi Kadıoğlu this summer.

The Turkey international starred for his side last season and extended his fine displays for his national team at the Euro 2024.

Last Tuesday, Milat Gazetesi reported several clubs have closely watched the left-back in action for his country. It was also stated the Istanbul side will not sell him for less than €35m.

West Ham United, Fulham and Wolverhampton Wanderers were among the clubs to have sent officials to follow him at the Euros. Brighton have taken an additional step to try and sign him.

That’s according to Turkish journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, who took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to claim the Seagulls have made ‘official contact’ with the defender’s camp. They did this to ask about his situation with Yellow Canaries.

Kadıoğlu has two years left on his deal and Transfermarket currently values him at €21m. If an earlier report from Milat Gazetesi is to be believed, Brighton will have to pay at least €35m to secure his services.

Last month, Fenerbahçe appointed José Mourinho as their new manager and he would have a say in Kadıoğlu’s potential transfer this summer.
