On March 30th, Calciomercato stated Brighton & Hove Albion are ‘particularly interested’ in Juventus’ Samuel Iling-Junior.
It was also explained that the Seagulls are ready to offer a fee between €10m and €15m to sign the winger in the summer.
Fast forward to May and Tutto Juve now back up Brighton wanting the 19-year-old.
It’s said Roberto De Zerbi’s side have asked people close to the England U20 international for information. The contact would have been made likely to learn the conditions needed to carry out a transfer in the next window.
Iling-Junior joined the Serie A side from Chelsea in 2020. After spending over a year with the Old Lady’s youth team, he was given opportunities in the first team this season.
Operating as left wing-back and left winger, he’s managed a goal and two assists from 13 games.
Brighton are not alone in the chase as Aston Villa and West Ham United are also interested in the player.
Despite the interest from the Premier League, Juventus want to keep Iling-Junior at the club as they believe he can become an ‘important player’ for them in the near future.
