If you impress at Boca Juniors, you can guarantee a scout from Brighton and Hove Albion will notice. Today’s player to add to the list? Lautaro Di Lollo.
That’s according to El Intransigente. They report that Brighton are interested in the 21-year-old centre-back. And their interest has left Boca Junior on ‘high alert’.
They report that Boca Juniors continue to earn a ‘surprising’ amount of attention from Europe this season thanks to the work Claudio Úbeda is doing with them.
One man who has become ‘fundamental’ to his plans is Di Lollo. And this has apparently earned him the attention of Brighton. Boca are aware of the interest and have made it clear that they will only part ways for a ‘very attractive fee’.
El Intransigente say that would probably be €15m plus at least. They also, say, though, that Boca are on high alert and have stated they will only sell for fees above $12m. That’s around €10.5m, so a figure in between those two is likely.
Úbeda, for his part, has put his foot down. He’s made it clear he doesn’t want to lose any key players at the club. He knows, though, that big offers will come in for several at some point.
Given Brighton’s history, we’d suggest Di Lollo is just one of many on their current shortlist and there’s nothing imminent for now. That can always change, though, as they continue their efforts to scoop every talent they can.
