Brighton & Hove Albion are looking at Flamengo’s Wesley França for the summer window.

That’s according to Bolavip Brasil, who state the Seagulls have carried out surveys for the right-back. They don’t mention if the Premier League side contacted his camp, club or both.

Brighton’s interest in the 21-year-old isn’t new as they tried to sign him last summer. The report states they made an offer, but it was rejected by Flamengo, without providing the details of their proposal.

In June 2024, we covered claims from Brazil which stated Flamengo had turned down a €4m bid made by Brighton.

They aren’t the only club keen on the defender as recent claims have said Liverpool, Everton, Manchester United, Aston Villa, West Ham United, Barcelona and AC Milan are also in the mix.

Bolavip now claim Fabian Hürzeler’s side ‘promise’ to make a favourable offer for Wesley in the next window amid a potential battle with other clubs. There’s no indication of the fee they are willing to propose.

Last month, UOL stated Flamengo rejected Zenit Saint Petersburg’s €25m bid in January. They also indicated a fee over €30m would be needed to take Wesley away from his club.
