Brighton and Hove Albion may be out in front in the developing race for Bazoumana Toure, with Celtic and Tottenham also in the mix.
That’s according to the latest from Fotboll Direkt, who say Hammarby are on the way to securing one of the biggest deals in the history of Swedish football for the 18-year-old.
According to their information, a record deal for Traore is ‘creeping ever closer’. They expect their transfer record to be broken by his departure. In fact, it should be more than the league record deals for Lucas Bergvall and Sebastian Nanasi. They cost €10m and €11m respectively.
Hammarby are targeting a price above this for Toure and believe they can get it as several clubs are interested in him.
Brighton appear to be slightly out in front at this moment in time. They’ve already shown a willingness to spend on young talent in the country with the deal for Malick Yalcouyé. He cost €7m.
The Seagulls are not the only side in the mix, though. Celtic and Tottenham are also keen on him. Tottenham have also paid big for talent from Sweden with the deal for Bergvall in the summer.
The list of admirers is a long one, though. It includes Fenerbahce, Brighton, Celtic, Crystal Palace, Bayer Leverkusen, RB Leipzig, Atletico Madrid, Arsenal, Tottenham, Newcastle United, Manchester United and Bayern Munich.
