Earlier this month, claims from England and Italy had explained that Brentford have made a €30m bid for Fiorentina’s Nicolás González.
Fiorentinanews.com state the Serie A side have rejected Brentford’s offer when explaining the 25-year-old’s agent making a trip to Italy.
It’s claimed the agent’s visit has got nothing to do with a potential transfer and the offers he has received so far, including one from Thomas Frank’s side. It’s also not related to the injury suffered by the forward recently.
Brentford would be encouraged to know the Europa Conference League finalists could be open to cash in from the player’s sale this summer.
That’s at least what Firenze Viola are reporting and add that the Argentina international is being followed by a few clubs. They say Fiorentina don’t intend to part ways with him but the scenario could change if they were to receive an ‘indispensable offer’.
The outlet says a fee around €40m would be enough to please the Italian club. In other words, if Brentford were to improve their bid by €10m, they could find an agreement with Fiorentina for the South American.
Brentford then have to convince González, who is reportedly not keen on joining them.
