Brentford winger Sergi Canós is giving up on the idea of joining Valencia this summer as the refusal of their chairman Peter Lim to push through a deal ‘exhausts the patience’ of the Spaniard.
That’s according to Cadena SER, who say the winger is already looking for another destination despite having set his heart on Valencia all summer.
Cadena SER report that Canós has grown tired about the lack of a response from the Spanish side, despite having made it clear he was willing to pay the €200,000 needed to sign him from his own pocket.
Playing for Valencia is his dream as they are his favourite club from childhood, but Peter Lim has not authorised the transfer, instead slowing things down until Samu Castillejo is sold to Saudi Arabia.
They have therefore told Canós that he needs to wait a few more days to seal a move from Brentford and that has ended up frustrating him.
He believes he has ‘made all the necessary efforts’ to join Valencia this summer and is now tired of the situation and ‘no longer willing to wait’ any longer for them to finalise things.
He wants out of Brentford and with a few days left until the start of the new season, he is now looking at other options for a transfer.
