Brentford striker Halil Dervişoğlu is in Istanbul to complete a move to Galatasaray, with the Super Lig club having announced the deal to the Turkish stock exchange.

That’s according to NTV Spor, who say the player flew in from Holland today to complete a move to the club.

Dervişoğlu spent the first half of this season on loan at Twente from Brentford, but struggled with the Dutch club, failing to score in ten appearances.

He returned to the Championship side on January 2nd yet is set to move again, with Galatasaray closing in on a loan deal until the end of the season.

NTV Spor report that Galatasaray have confirmed the impending deal, with a recent post to the stock exchange stating that ‘official talks with football player and club Brentford FC have been started for the temporary transfer of professional football player Halil İbrahim Dervişoğlu to our club’.

He has since arrived at Istanbul Airport on a plane from Holland, where he has also been pictured by the website.

Talks between the two clubs appear to be advancing rapidly, though, so keep an eye on this one to be finalised sooner rather than later.
