Brentford are keen to sign Shakhtar Donetsk’s Mykhaylo Mudryk, according to reports.

The 21-year-old spent two years with the Ukrainian club’s youth teams before he was promoted to the senior team in 2018. After two loans spells, he has managed to showcase his abilities this season for Shakhtar Donetsk.

Operating on the left wing, Mudryk has scored two goals and registered nine assists in all competitions. His performances have attracted interest from Brentford.

According to Fussball Transfers, Thomas Frank’s side are ‘making intense efforts’ to bring the Ukraine international to the Premier League.

It’s further claimed that Brentford are offering a fee of €20m to acquire the attacker’s services. However, ‘it is still uncertain’ whether the Ukraine U21 international will seal the transfer.

The Bees are not alone as the report explains AC Milan are among the clubs to have knocked on the door to acquire the player’s services. Mudryk’s contract is until 2026, but he is ‘now looking for a new club’ following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
