FC Midtjylland are expecting renewed interest in Franculino Djú, with two Premier League sides, potentially Brentford and Everton, in the mix for him.
That’s according to Africa Foot and Transfert Radar, who cover the player today and Paris Saint-Germain’s interest in him.
Djú was linked with a move away from Midtjylland late in the summer with several reports, largely from Africa Foot, insisting that Everton were keen on him. They even sent scouts to watch him in person to several games.
Africa Foot now report that Midtjylland don’t expect to be able to keep their forward long-term and have set a price tag of €20m on him. According to their information, he is being followed by Borussia Dortmund and Everton.
Transfert Radar then throw Brentford into the mix, reporting that they are in the running for the striker alongside ‘another English club’. Given the previous reports, that could be Everton.
Both may face competition from PSG, though, as the same source reports that the French giants have already watched the Midtjylland striker on several occasions and are taking a very close interest in him.
Now, we would take all of this with a pinch of salt as Transfert Radar are a new source to us and hardly well established. They are, though, claiming the PSG and Brentford information as their own exclusives for now.
We’ll wait for something a little more reliable or concrete before getting excited on Brentford or Everton’s behalf, but the links are growing for Djú, whose goalscoring exploits at Midtjylland are earning attention.
