Brentford scouts have watched Frosinone’s Matias Soulé on ‘several occasions’, according to a report from Italy.
Juventus allowed the winger to join the Serie A side on a loan deal and he’s scored 10 goals and registered two assists from 21 league games.
Tuttosport, relayed by TuttoMercatoWeb, states several Premier League sides are ‘crazy’ about the 20-year-old and Brentford are included in this list.
The Argentina U20 international has drawn the interest of clubs in England and France, where OGC Nice and AS Monaco are named as interested parties. These teams should be wary of Brentford as it’s claimed they ‘should be watched closely’ in the transfer race.
The interest generated by the attacker has certainly pleased the Old Lady, who could consider parting ways with him after this season.
Soulé has over two years left on his contract at the Turin club and the report states his valuation is at least at €40m. It’s not made clear if Thomas Frank’s side are willing to offer this fee for the attacker in the summer.
Brentford were keen on agreeing a deal with Club Brugge for Antonio Nusa, but the move didn’t go through in the winter market. They could consider Soulé as an alternative to the Norway international.
