Interest in Brentford manager Thomas Frank is obvious after his success with the Bees in recent years.

That’s according to Brentford pair Christian Nørgaard and Mathias Jensen, who have both admitted to Ekstra Bladet that Frank could be on his way in the near future.

The Danish coach is well thought of in England at this moment in time, having impressed massively since taking charge of Brentford in 2018.

Since then has led them to the Premier League in 2020, beating Swansea in the Championship play offs to secure a return to the top flight for the first time since 1947.

They’ve impressed since then, securing a superb 13th placed finish last season and never being in relegation trouble.

It’s been the same this season, in which they have kicked on considerably and risen up the table, currently sitting 8th and level on points with Brentford in sixth.

That means Frank’s stock has never been higher, with him already linked to several big positions when they have come up in recent months.

Brentford’s squad are aware of that interest and both Norgaard and Jensen admit they know Frank could leave sooner rather than later.

“Much of the credit for Brentford’s success must go to Thomas. He has put together the squad and staff, he is our coach and leader,” said Norgaard.

“Therefore, it is obvious that Thomas is a candidate as a coach when the bigger clubs are in the hunt, especially when you consider what he has achieved with Brentford.

“It is quite obvious that Thomas is a sought-after gentleman on the coaching market. and I wonder if he also at some point has ambitions for a bigger club than Brentford.

“I don’t know if I fear Thomas will be gone this summer. But it’s clear that we can all feel he’s getting a lot more publicity now,” added Jensen.

“I would like him to stay at the club, but of course I also understand if he gets an opportunity he can’t say no to.”
