The Antonio Nusa saga has come to an end, according to reports from the Belgian media.

Journalist Sacha Tavolieri now writes that the winger’s move to Brentford is ‘completely off’ following the agreement with Club Brugge for the transfer of Igor Thiago.

It’s said that Nusa will continue to be an option for Premier League clubs in the summer, but the Bees have now given up on his arrival.

Brentford have just announced that arrival of Igor Thiago from the very same Belgian club, and according to Tavolieri, will pay €37m for the move.

The Brazilian is set to join the Bees in the summer, signing a contract until 2029, with Club Brugge having 10% of a future move.

Nusa’s saga dragged on since the January transfer window, when Brentford took a step back in their chase because of a knee issue he had. The Belgian media had been claiming that the transfer was still a possibility, with the clubs continuing to talk about a summer move. It seems that the agreement for Igor Thiago completely changed the scenario.
