Championship side Reading are set to complete the signing of Brazilian midfielder Felipe Araruna, according to reports on Thursday.

Yahoo claims that the 23-year-old has flown to England, where he’s having his medicals and his transfer should soon be made official by the club.

Araruna currently belongs to São Paulo, where he has a contract until the end of the year. To avoid losing him for free, it’s said the Brazilian side made a partnership with Reading.

São Paulo are set to keep 40% of a future sale, and trust the player’s potential so he can be involved in a big tranfer soon.

Reading were first linked to Araruna a couple of weeks ago. It was actually claimed they would like to sign him and his teammate Igor Liziero.

That report said the Royals would be interested in paying €7m for Liziero, and even though there had been no many details on the chase for Araruna, it seems he’s the one who’s moving first.
