Barcelona allowed Rafinha join Inter Milan on loan for the rest of the season in January.
As a part of the deal, the Nerazzurri had an option to sign the midfielder on a permanent deal, if the Serie A outfit qualified for next season’s Champions League.
Inter made it to the Europe’s elite club competition, but the Italian side refused to sign Rafinha on a permanent deal in the summer transfer window. This has forced the Sao Paulo born player back to Barcelona.
Today’s edition of Catalan newspaper Sport claims Rafinha’s future now lies away from the La Liga winners. The 25-year-old and a few other players are not included in Ernesto Valverde’s plans for the season.
The midfielder is also attracting interest from Italy as Lazio are considering an option of signing the Barcelona player. The north London club and Lazio are the two sides said to be interested in Rafinha.
Tottenham have been linked before and then, like now, it didn’t feel especially concrete. There’s certainly no claims of an offer, and perhaps it’s more hope than expectation from the Catalan newspaper.
