The Brazilian media today features optimistic updates on Tottenham Hotspur’s chase for Everton star Richarlison.

UOL journalist Bruno Andrade writes that talks between Spurs and the Toffees have been progressing ‘positively’, and the North London side rush to close a deal ‘this week’.

The reporter claims Tottenham have a ‘very well-aligned’ agreement with the player for a five-year contract. Regarding the negotiations with Everton, it’s said the agreement ‘should’ be around £60m.

Even though there have been rumours claiming other players could be involved in a deal, as suggested by the English media in the past few hours, Bruno Andrade claims that ‘in principle’, there’ll be no players moving to Goodison Park as part of this transfer.

Richarlison’s intention to move to a club of bigger aspirations has been reported by the Brazilian media for a long time now. And with Tottenham having a spot in the Champions League, that undoubtedly raises their chances of landing the forward from Everton.

UOL adds that Chelsea sought information for the player ‘in the past few days’, but despite the competition from their London rivals, Spurs remain ‘confident’ about the signing.
