The Brazilian media today shares some interesting news on the situation of Manchester United midfielder Casemiro.

Even though the 32-year-old is out of the national team with an injury, he took a trip to St. Albans to meet the squad and speak to the coaching staff.

That’s reported by Trivela, who have some exclusive claims about his injury status as well.

It’s said Casemiro felt an issue in his hamstring while training ahead of Manchester United’s clash against Liverpool in the FA Cup. That’s an injury which had already sidelined him some months ago, when he nearly needed surgery.

According to Trivela, the midfielder spoke to the Red Devils’ doctors and went through examinations, but the club officials did not find a problem, giving him the green light to play.

Still, Casemiro was in pain, and given his past issues, he decided to check with a doctor from Barcelona who treated him before. There, a ‘small injury’ was found in that area.

It’s claimed that if he’d played against Liverpool, it could have become a ‘much bigger problem’ with the danger of the old injury repeating. That’s why he was ruled out from Manchester United’s match and cut from the national team squad.
