Both Arsenal players in Brazil’s squad are set to start their next World Cup game.
According to Globo Esporte, since the national team are already qualified for the knock-out stage after two wins, manager Tite is using an alternative line-up for the match against Cameroon.
That means Arsenal attackers Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli are both set to start, as they had only been options on the bench.
Gabriel Jesus had a little more playing time, with 11 minutes in the 2-0 win against Serbia and 17 minutes in the 1-0 victory over Switzerland. Martinelli, however, only had three minutes in that first game.
Even though this line-up against Cameroon will also work as a chance for players to show they deserve a place in the team that will play the knock-out stage, it’s still unlikely the Arsenal stars can achieve that. That’s because they face a tough competition for their positions, with Richarlison, Rodrygo, Vinícius Junior and Neymar all coming before them.
According to Globo Esporte, even though Brazil have been training behind close doors, Friday’s line-up should be: Ederson; Daniel Alves, Militão, Bremer, Alex Telles; Fabinho, Bruno Guimarães; Antony, Rodrygo, Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli.
