With the official announcement made by Crystal Palace, all of the Brazilian press is now covering Lucas Perri’s move from São Paulo to the Premier League side.
As confirmed by the London club, the goalkeeper is joining them on a loan until the end of the season, with the Eagles having an option to buy him permanently.
There’s been a few different claims in Brazil regarding how much will Palace have to pay in case they activate the clause, and Globo Esporte comes up with the last update about it today.
They claim the Premier League side have a buying option to get 80% of the player, for which they will pay €4.5m. That means the Brazilian club will keep 20% of a future transfer.
In case some performance bonuses are met, then São Paulo could get other €1m. Apparently, Palace are paying nothing for the loan spell, as a fee isn’t even mentioned by the outlet.
