There are pretty strong claims coming out of Brazil on Tuesday evening that Everton have reached an agreement to sign Reinier from Flamengo.
The claim comes from two journalists: Marcelo Bechler and Bruno Formiga.
Bechler was the guy who called Neymar’s transfer from Barcelona to PSG and had all the details before anyone else.
Anyway, it’s stated Everton have an outline agreement with Reinier for a transfer in the winter market. He turns 18 on January 19th 2020, so that’s the earliest he’d be able to move to Europe anyway.
A transfer will cost Everton around €40m, according to the claims, and if this report is correct then it sounds like the player will be off to Goodison Park, unless someone else manages to hijack the deal.
That would make it sound like a verbal agreement.

We covered claims from Brazil earlier this month that Everton were moving forward for the midfielder and had a good chance of signing him.
At the time AC Milan, Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City were all mentioned as keen. Arsenal and Liverpool have previously been linked.
